Pistou Basil & Garlic Whole Olives 6 x 250g

Whole green olives in Extra Virgin Olive Oil with basil and garlic. Fragrant, herbal and unmistakably Provençal.

Firm green olives, naturally fermented and then left to marinate in Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with basil and garlic. The basil brings a soft, leafy fragrance, while the garlic gives the oil a gentle savoury depth.

Pistou is the basil and garlic sauce of Provence, made for stirring through soups, spooning over vegetables and mopping up with bread. It is a simple combination and a very good one, particularly when given time to settle into the olives and their oil. We prepare each batch by hand here in Dorset.

Serve the olives with tomatoes, soft cheese or a glass of something cold. They are also excellent scattered through a warm courgette salad or alongside grilled chicken. Use the remaining basil and garlic oil to dress pasta, white beans or vegetables.
